A day in your life as an Operations Analyst
Under the direction of the Manager and supervisors, this position coordinates workflow activities of the unit to ensure that services are delivered reliably, professionally, and meet the quality expectations of our customers in accordance with and in support of department and division activities.  Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.  In addition, this position is responsible for demonstrating the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors.

We’ll give you these important responsibilities…

  • Leverages functional business knowledge to maximize business unit system applications.  Collaborates with key units within the Bank to achieve established strategic goals and initiatives.  Works with partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use technology to improve product, service or processes.    Closely works with internal and external partners to successfully complete assigned initiatives while effectively managing limited resources.  Analyzes workflow utilization to ensure efficiency within the bank against the standards and best practices to identify potential efficiencies and process improvements. Creates and updates department procedures as necessary.  Collects data and prepares reports to accurately track trends and statistics related to all department processes.
  • Coordinates activities of the work unit to ensure that established goals and objectives are met:  maintains follow-up for assigned functional areas; monitors workflow and unit’s performance; tracks and reports performance to established guidelines and in accordance with service level agreements; provides systems support for technical functions as required.  Ensures and assists with employee training, providing support when implementing changes to workflow and department procedures.
  • Performs duties of  other team members in the event staffing levels are insufficient to meet production deadlines. 
  • Communicates and works with Manager and supervisors, internal and external customers, technical support staff, and service representatives to ensure uninterrupted work flow.
  • Contributes to the management of operating expenses:  prepares work schedules that provides for the completion of production jobs in accordance with timeliness specified in service level agreements while minimizing overtime and other operating expenses.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Accounting classes helpful.

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum three years of banking experience, including two years requiring comprehensive technical knowledge of bank operations. 
  • Requires general knowledge of accounting principles.

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or similar software. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems. 
  • Must have strong spreadsheet proficiency. 
  • Working knowledge of database systems

  • Must project a positive, professional image and promote team effort. 
  • Should be analytical, detail oriented and able to analyze situations quickly to determine solutions and alternatives. 
  • Must be a demonstrated team player with the critical thinking and other skills to efficiently identify, define and resolve problems with positive results. 
  • Requires administrative and organizational skills with the ability to independently handle multiple tasks and priorities. 
  • Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
  • Must be able to move/lift boxes up to 30 lbs.
