A day in your life as a Domain Architect - IT Endpoint Management

Responsible for providing technical end point platform leadership and for establishing the direction for the IT end point network architecture, standards, design, and implementation approaches.

  • Creates, evaluates, and implements plans and design proposals for high impact End Point IT solutions and their use involving leading edge technologies and methods considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations, and criticality. Designs and establishes a thriving end point platform in a centrally administered, and virtualized end point environment.
  • Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms.
  • Leads or contributes to designs applied to all aspects of business systems and/or infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation.
  • Directly assists in the development of End Point Solutions Management program, including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for End Point Management.  Develops and executes projects which further reduce the percentage of time spent on reactive work.
  • Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business and technical analysis.  Supports End Point Solutions scope of projects in peer IT portfolios. 
  • Assists Management in IT departmental budgeting, allocation, and recovery processes, and implements guidelines for End Point technology asset management.  Provides analysis of asset licensing and renewals as necessary.
  • Possesses broad and deep skills across disciplines, serving as a mentor to others.
  • Leads End Point Solutions discussions, communicates with other managers to learn about implications of other projects and scope of involvement, keeps end point solutions review process involved with all projects, and informs Sr. IT management professionals on management processes.
  • Assists End Point Solutions management team on lifecycle management and timing of financial spend for upgrades.  Establishes and supports financial metrics with internal and external providers to evaluate spend and performance.
  • Provides analysis of endpoint security protection technologies as necessary. Serves as escalation path for End Point related problem management
  • If applicable and appropriate, assists in IT’s compliance with accounting rules and regulations, meeting financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates customer service focus by not only providing good service and considering the effect of all actions on internal and external customer service, but always looking for ways to improve service.
  • Performs miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

This position requires use of a personal computer and other standard office equipment (typewriter, fax, copier, calculator and telephone). 

The successful candidate must have a high attention to detail with regard to accounting skills, be able to work under indirect supervision, and possess an above average understanding of information technology topics.

If applicable and appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

 


Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent education or work experience.

 

Experience: 

  • Requires minimum of 11 years of experience.
  • Requires experience related to technical assets or End Point device management, and/or responsibility for communication of complex technical programs. 
  • Banking/financial industry or related field preferred.

 Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint) or similar software. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.

  • Able to provide own transportation or operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license and commute as necessary.
