Home Equity Specialist-1700590

Under the direction of the Home Equity Processing Supervisor, responsible for maximizing the sales opportunities for each line/loan processed.  If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.  In addition, this position is responsible for demonstrating the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors. 




  • Manage applications loan process by communicating with applicants and obtaining clarification on the application to ensure that a final credit decision can be rendered. 
  • Follow-up on required information such as income verification and property information.
  • Update the loan origination system with updated information as needed.
  • Manage loan applications through closing while maintaining productivity and quality of service standards established by Management. 
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully manage the pipeline of applications especially during peak production periods.
  • Obtain required documentation and organizes all documents for file review by lending officer.
  • Contact applicants upon receipt of information for further clarification as needed. 
  • Manage documentation process including ordering of property title, property insurance and applicable documentation reviews.
  • Review valuation forms, flood zoning determinations, insurance documents, conveyance documents, loan conditions, and other loan forms to ensure that loans are closed in accordance with approval terms and conditions. 
  • Review assigned files and complete processing to ensure all income, credit, and valuation requirements are met. 
  • Work closely with the applicant and/or referring party to obtain all necessary documents. 
  • Input, access, and retrieve information on the system to direct individual workflow. 
  • Send out written communication regarding application status according to established company and regulatory guidelines. 
  • Communicates  effectively, courteously and proactively with applicants as well as internal and external partners




  • Post high school education, or equivalent work experience.



  • One to three years of sales, real estate lending, or customer service experience.


Technical Skills:

  • P.C. usage including knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Access).


Other Skills: 

  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment and able to prioritize heavy workload. 
  • Strong verbal communication skill required due to high volume of telephone contact with applicants.
