Treasury Investment Specialist-1700544

Under the direction of the Treasury/Operations manager/supervisor, the position performs one or more of the following operational / analytical tasks.  (1) Processing of securities transactions, settlements and custody.  (2) Processing of foreign exchange and money market transactions.        (3)  Monitoring of the Bank’s liquidity position at various financial institutions. Ensures business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.



  • Primarily responsible for one or more of the following:  (1) day-to-day processing of securities booked in the investment portfolio system, including settlement and custody; (2)   entry and  settlement of foreign exchange transactions in the bank’s multi-currency system; (3) monitoring  the intraday liquidity of our accounts at various financial institutions.  In all cases, processes transactions accurately and timely and maintains current information on the various systems. 
  • Ensures that all deadlines are met. 
  • Researches and resolves discrepancies.  
  • Provides analytical support through weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports to management. 
  • Reports may include one or more of the following: 1) investment portfolio composition, cash flow, and income; 2) foreign exchange and money market transactions; 3). annual self-assessment report.  In all cases, completes various memos, reports, and internal and external correspondence, as appropriate and on a timely basis.
  • Participates in department level projects to improve efficiency and manage risks related to services and operations; researches, develops, and implements procedural and operational changes; monitors regulatory and investment policy compliance; maintains internal controls; prepares for and responds to audits; assists with division level and other external projects related to or impacting upon department operations; conducts presentations and communicates at all levels.
  • Works with internal IT support as well as vendors on system related issues involving installation, testing and implementation of software upgrades, enhancements, conversions, process improvements and other system changes.





  • Four year college degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent work experience in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or related subject.



  • Minimum 2-3 years related work experience in banking, treasury, or investment management. 


Technical Skills:

  • Ability to use a personal computer and is proficient on Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word. Proficiency in Excel or experience using portfolio accounting systems preferred. 
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg helpful.


Other Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated communication, inter-personal and analytic skills. 
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision with the ability to work across multiple departments and divisions and external service providers to achieve desired results within aggressive deadlines. 
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
